Georgia Athlete Overcoming Obstacles with Confidence: Will Crain

Will Crain
What a remarkable guy . . . Will Crain! Will loves music, Power Rangers and Transformers. As a young boy, he carried a Transformer figurine with him everywhere he went. One could say Will has truly taken the supernatural character to heart. As an 18-year-old, Will has overcome many obstacles in his life. For instance, Will had a liver transplant in 2006, but that didn’t slow him down for long. His personality is infectious. When you meet him, you can’t help but smile and be inspired by him. For more than 8 years, Will has competed in basketball, bocce, bowling, soccer, and kayaking. Most recently, Will was selected as a member of Team USA to compete in kayaking at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles. Will attributes his growth in self-confidence to the opportunity of competing in competitive sports with Special Olympics Georgia. Congratulations to Will for being December’s Athlete of the Month!
