Mauritius Focuses on Families for EKS Day

The National Director of Special Olympics Seychelles addressing family members
Parents at a Family Health Forum in Mauritius were inspired by hearing about the work of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the founder of Special Olympics. Many were determined to bring changes in the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities. The presentations about Mrs. Shriver were made during the Family Health Forum at Rose Hill on 26 September. A special hour was reserved for celebrating the life of the late founder of Special Olympics. Members of Special Olympics Mauritius spoke about her to raise awareness of her life and the importance of the vision that she shared with the world, a vision of a society where people with an intellectual disability are given the same opportunities as everyone else.
