Special Olympics Malta hosted 20 participants from 12 countries for the Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Bowling Seminar in late April. This was also a remarkable opportunity to promote the very successful partnership of Special Olympics with the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF). The seminar consisted of theoretical and practical coaching sessions with participation of 10 Special Olympics Malta bowlers. SOEE Sports Director Mariusz Damentko said: “We are proud to have such excellent partners as ETBF, who bring value to our work from including us in demonstrations during European and World Bowling Championships to visibility in ETBF publications and website.” During the signing of a memorandum, ETBF President Addie Ophelders underlined how Special Olympics is important to ETBF. He said, “We can promise to enlarge our cooperation and encourage all bowling national federations to support Special Olympics national programs."
