Special Olympics Floorball Competion Held in Vermont

Special Olympics Vermont held a floorball competition on December 10, 2017 in Colchester, Vermont. This competition is believed to be the very first Special Olympics floorball competition to be held in the United States.

Three teams took part to the tournament. The competition was unified. The teams played 4 v 4 with one partner for each team in the rink at all time.

The competition took place in the afternoon. During the morning, athletes and coaches attended a skills clinic hosted by Floorball Planet.

Floorball is the newest team sport to be offered by Special Olympics Vermont and this was the first year that Special Olympics athletes were given the opportunity to practice floorball. Special Olympics athletes enjoy floorball because it is a sport that is fun, safe and easy to learn.
